Align wrench on spoke an nut Use wheel holding machine for true alignment while lacing the spokes.     Measure equal lengths;

Wheel fully laced and ready to install freewheel or solid hub as required:   A frame spreader tool is available from dealers who sell our HD axles;

Bolts may be installed in or out depending on spoke clearance needed. If installing bolts with nuts outboard grind off exposed bolt length even with top of lock nuts so that drum hsg. contacts all nuts to form a friction lock for hub.  Use 2 to 4 washers to correctly space out brake ban over drum.

Model #1:Drum Brake housing must be used to form a lock plate for freewheel hub even if drum brake is not used.
            Note:  Freewheel Hub screws on CCW direction and Brake drum is CW:

Model #2:   36x1 CCW Lock Ring and nuts outboard;  Grind bolt heads flat;   Grind off excessive bolt length.   Use washers to space brake band.

                           Note:  Hub screws on CCW direction and also does lock ring;   Brake Drum is CW direction
Note: Adj. nut for brake ban tension:     Use 35x1CW freewheel sprocket on axle right side;   Not supplied in HD Axle Kits:  This freewheel sprocket normally can be used off the donor bike or obtained locally from a bike shop or internet shop.   You will need a spanner wrench to remove this sprocket.    There are 2 holes in the freewheel hub for using this wrench.    To tighten you can install chain and use foot pedals.
